Fours problems he states are:

1. Limited magazine capacity
2. Safety lever
3. Reliability
4. Magazine compatibility

The overall problem he has with the 1911 is the amount of maintenance required to keep the gun in good working order.

To keep it in good working condition you need the proper parts and enough money for it to stay reliable, when other less expensive guns could serve you better.
