Are modern autoloading rifles "weapons of war?"

Adolf Hitler coined the term "assault rifle" in order to embolden his troops and intimidate the enemy.

No surprise that the modern gun grabbers, starting in the late '80s, picked up Hitler's word crafting.

Now we're hearing similar types of language about "weapons of war." Every firearm is a weapon of war.
