A man turned the tables on three people who tried to rob him outside a bank.
It all began at a Wachovia around 3 p.m., where an armed citizen was trying to get money out of an ATM. One suspect jumped out the car with a gun, but the ATM customer fired back, hitting one of the suspects. Officers nearby heard the shots. After a short chase, the suspects' car crashed. Only a third suspect got away.
"Bad guys need to realize that there are armed citizens out here that are ready to protect themselves," said one officer.
